2014 Playground Progress
Spring playground work started with pulling much to the side of the sinkhole and adding
a lot more rocks to bring the level back up. The under the big tower area appears stable, which is a big relief, so the only sink area was under the swings. It's early
April, and we've got playground mulch that we've started to spread. Extra amounts are being added under the swings and tire swing, plus at the end of the big slide, since those areas
get compacted a lot. We've also looked at the wood on the new towers, and they are not ready to be stained yet, so we'll re-evaluate that toward the end of summer. In the meantime, we can finish
the older stuff and start to work on steps and ladders and come up with plans for the extended monkey bars since the current bars seem to be the one thing all three love to play on the most.
Mulch around the playground area took a little longer than I planned due to
rain, and more rain. The kids helped again by filling and pulling around the wagon. Now it's done for the year!

Late May, Mr. Man built a ladder for sentinel tower and a step from the big bridge to arctic tower. This will make it easier for little ones to get around. Just one more
ladder to build. Our guys love running around with them now.
